TEMPORARY CREDIT CARD RELIEF PROGRAMS

People all over the world are struggling to make ends meet. COVID-19 has put a financial strain on many families and small businesses, but many banks and credit card companies are offering temporary relief to those who are struggling to make sufficient payments toward their credit card bills. It is important to know that help is out there and taking advantage of these programs could help alleviate the stress and strain credit card bills cause.

Here are some companies that are offering adjusted payment programs:

Offering deferred payments for two billing cycles. As well as programs for personal lines lines and loans, student loans, and auto loans. Contact customer service to discuss additional options if you continue to face challenges after the deferment period.

Citi will waive late fees and defers minimum payments on credit cards, allowing you to pay less than the minimum. You'll need to sign in to your online account and maybe contact them with more questions about eligibility.

You may be able to defer a payment on your personal or business credit card. Cardholders are encouraged to enroll online in the COVID-19 Payment Assistance Program.

If you are a USAA member you can access special payment assistance programs for credit cards, consumer loans, mortgages and home equity lines of credit.

With American Express you can temporarily lower monthly payments and interest rates, as well as waive future late payment fees, for those who qualify.

Discover has relief options, and cardholders should call customer service to talk about them.

We hope you are staying healthy and safe during these hard times.
